A Love Letter to Me

this is for the 32-bit cafe's valentine's day 2025 event, where the theme was self-love! join us on the next one! this is somewhat of a letter to myself to be a bit gentler with myself than i am usually.

happy valentine's day, alexandra!

i think it's very easy for us to get caught up in things like projects, splitting time among the people who care about us, and the routines of our everyday life. for this, slow down. think about you. and come back to this post when you're feeling down about yourself.

i love my sense of humor.

it's not the only reason why people want you around, but be proud that you can usually make someone laugh in most situations.

i love my curiosity.

learning about new things and wanting to talk about them is one of your partner's favorite things about you.

i love my hair.

your agency over your hair and looks, unhindered by restrictions or the male gaze, has changed how you perceive yourself completely; you feel the best about yourself than you have in a long time.

i love my resilience.

you've been through a lot, and you thought those things would stop you from ultimately being happy. how wrong you were.

i love my confidence in my abilities.

you know what you can do and your faith in yourself has not only helped you professionally but also in all of your personal projects. others can rely on you because you stick to your word.

i love that i share love often and loudly.

you tell your partner that you love him so much, it affirms him every time you do. you tell your friends how much you love and appreciate them all the time. it's appreciated.

i love that i always try to grow and be better.

your growth mindset has led you to where you are mentally and spiritually. growing as a person only makes our life better. don't stop, keep going.

i love that i try to be as helpful as possible.

exercising compassion and empathy to help others is one of the things that make you feel happiest, so keep doing that.

i love that i protect myself and my peace.

you've worked so hard to finally have a safe, productive, and peaceful environment and social circle around you. be proud of yourself.

it's okay to be proud of yourself. it's okay to have self-love. you can love yourself in the same gentle way you love others.
